Torrente Pulls Off a Win

Port Neches, TX. Sunday's Final
was a run away for Tim Seebold who took off from the pole
position and was running away with it until the 38th lap!
Brian Norman of Mandeville, LA crashed in turn 1 and the
field was stopped. The Formula One boats were lined back
up and the flag dropped and Shaun Torrente beat the field
down to the first turn and led them for the remaining 12
laps and took the win!
Terry Rinker of Tampa, FL. who won the pole on Saturday
and was a top contender for Sunday's final, barrel rolled
in the 3rd turn and was taken out early. Tim Seebold ended
up 2nd and Michael Schubert of Richmond TX. got the 3rd
position. Schubert's podium was the 1st for the Seaway
Marine Johnson powered DAC! Greg Jacobsen the team owner
and developer of the Formula One Johnson has worked hard
to get the Johnson to where it is and it showed! They
qualified 2nd on Saturday and had the 3rd position on the
podium!
High winds and threatening weather canceled the heats
in the earlier part of the day. The Formula Two teams
attempted to run and experienced 2 crashs before the PROP
Tour officials called the racing until the wind laid down
and racing resumed.
